Nisha Lakhi

Dr. Lakhi is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Medical College and the Director of Research at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island. She completed a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. She has worked extensively with the Da Vinci robotic system and has published clinical studies on minimally invasive techniques for the staging and treatment of ovarian cancer and advanced uterine cancers. She serves as principal investigator of multiple studies within her institution and regularly presents her data in peer reviewed journals and at national and international conferences. Dr. Lakhi has authored numerous papers and is editor of three textbooks. Some of her research interests include gynecological malignancies, minimally invasive surgery, endometriosis, and trauma surgery. She currently leads her institution’s Cancer Program with special emphasis on gynecologic oncology and cancer survivorship.
