Maurizio Rosati

I currently hold the following professional positions: Adjunct Professor of Gynecological Oncology and Gynecological Surgical Techniques at the Gabriele d'Annunzio University of Chieti; Director of the Department of Maternal and Child Health, Spirito Santo Hospital, Pescara; Director of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit, Spirito Santo Hospital, Pescara; and Head of the Multidisciplinary Center for Robotic Surgery, Spirito Santo Hospital, Pescara. I am passionate and dedicated to women's health and well-being at all stages of life, using both a medical and surgical approach. Beyond the technical aspect, which I maintain to high standards through ongoing training, I focus heavily on building relationships with women. I strive to instill trust through clear and simple dialogue. I ensure that they feel accepted regarding their health issues and reassured by the proposed healthcare intervention. I provide careful attention to pregnant women, offering, whenever possible, a non-medicalized birth process in compliance with ministerial healthcare standards, with particular attention to the woman's lifestyle. I have gained extensive surgical experience with over 11,000 procedures for benign gynecological, reproductive, urogynecological, and oncological conditions. I perform all available surgical procedures, from the most traditional to minimally invasive techniques: laparotomy, laparoscopic surgery (classic, LESS, one-port, microlaparoscopy, and 3D), robotic and single-port robotic surgery, laser surgery, reproductive surgery, vulvar and vaginal surgery, hysteroscopic surgery, prosthetic surgery, and oncological surgery. I proudly offer, whenever possible, an innovative surgical technique, which I have published under the acronym OLICS (Operative Laparoscopy In Conscious Sedation), laparoscopic surgery without general or spinal anesthesia, under conscious sedation. I have proposed this and other innovative techniques in scientific literature in recent years: In 2015, I published in an international indexed journal the world's first laparoscopic surgery procedures for the removal of ovarian cysts without general or spinal anesthesia.
